MASTER SERVICES AGREEMENT

This Master Services Agreement is between Down Under On Line Pty Ltd, a Queensland limited partnership trading as DUO WEB HOSTING (“DUO”) and the person (individual or legal person) whose name appears on the signature line of the Agreement or on any document that incorporates the Agreement by reference (“the Customer”) and is effective on the Effective Date.

1. Defined Terms. Capitalized terms shall have the following meanings or the meanings assigned to them in the other Sections of the Agreement:

“Agreement” shall mean the Service Order Form(s), this Master Services Agreement, the Service Level Agreement, any DUO Addendum to this Master Services Agreement, and the AUP, collectively. Any conflict between the documents shall be resolved by reading the documents in the foregoing order of precedence.

“AUP” shall mean DUO’s Acceptable Use Policy, posted on the Effective Date at http://www.downunderonline.net.au/AUP.htm, as it may be amended from time to time in accordance with Section 6 (AUP) of this Master Services Agreement.

“Business Day” shall mean Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., eastern standard time, excluding any day that banks in Australia are required or permitted to be closed.

“Effective Date” shall mean the day that Customer accepts the Agreement, either by signing DUO’s Service Order Form or this Master Services Agreement, or by using the Service.

“Service Commencement Date” shall mean the date DUO generates an e-mail message to Customer that provides access codes and passwords for use in connection with the Managed Hosting Service.

“Hosting Service Level Agreement” shall mean the Hosting Service Level Agreement incorporated by reference in the Service Order Form, as it may be amended from time to time by written agreement of the parties.

“Service” or “Services” shall mean the Managed Hosting Service and any Supplemental Service(s) (as defined in Section 3) provided by DUO to Customer pursuant to the Agreement.

2. Term. The initial service term of the Agreement shall begin on the Service Commencement Date and continue for the annual period stated in the DUO Hosting Invoice (the “Initial Term”).

3. Services. Contingent upon the Customer’s satisfaction of DUO’s credit approval requirements and on DUO’s verification of the information provided by Customer for the purpose of establishing the Service, DUO agrees to provide the Managed Hosting Service in accordance with the terms of the Agreement. In addition, DUO may from time to time perform certain additional services on an hourly fee basis (the “Supplemental Services”), customization of the Managed Hosting Service at the Customer’s request, services described in the AUP, and other professional technical services. Supplemental Services will be performed only on Customer’s advance approval and will be invoiced at DUO’s published rates or other rates approved in advance in writing by Customer. However DUO may perform Supplemental Services for the fees stated in the AUP as necessary to remedy problems caused by AUP violations without obtaining advance Customer consent.

4. Payments.

(a) Fees. The Customer agrees to pay the annual and set up fees stated in the DUO Hosting Invoice and DUO’s standard fees for Supplemental Services as described in Section 3 (Services) above.
Fees payable to DUO are payable on presentation of an invoice to the Customer by DUO unless otherwise noted on the face of the invoice. After the Service Commencement Date, the annual recurring fee shall be invoiced in advance on or around 30 days before expiration of current service agreement.. Invoices for Supplemental Services, excess data transfer, reinstatement of service, switching and upgrade fees and other non-recurring amounts shall be invoiced as they are incurred by the Customer. The Customer acknowledges that it is responsible for excess data transfer fees that may result from a denial of service or other attack on DUO's servers. Payments must be made in Australian dollars. DUO may charge interest on amounts that remain outstanding at the expiry of ten (10) days or more, at the lesser of 1.5% per month or the maximum non-usurious rate under applicable law. DUO may suspend any or all Services if payment for any Service is overdue. The Customer agrees to pay DUO’s current reinstatement fee at the time of reinstatement of service following a suspension of service for non-payment or an AUP violation investigation.

(b) Early Termination. The Customer acknowledges that the amount of the Annual Recurring Fee for the Managed Hosting Service is based on the Customer’s agreement to pay the Annual Recurring Fee for the entire Annual Term In advance. In the event DUO terminates the Agreement for the Customer’s breach of the Agreement in accordance with Section 13 (Termination), or the Customer terminates the Managed Hosting Service other than for DUO’s breach in accordance with Section 13 (Termination), all fees due under the Agreement, including the annual recurring fee for the remaining portion of the Initial Term, will not be refunded or prorated to date of termination.

(c) Termination without 30 day notice. The Customer acknowledges that the amount of the Annual Recurring Fee for the Managed Hosting Service is based on the Customer’s agreement to pay the fee for the entire Annual Term up front. DUO shall provide notice to the Customer of the expiry of the Annual Term 45 days or more prior to expiry of the Annual Term and shall further provide a 30 day invoice for payment of the Annual Fee. The Customer acknowledges that notice must be given to DUO 30 days prior to the expiry of the Annual Term, or the Customer is financially liable for full payment of the Invoice that was issued for the next hosting term.

(d) Default Accounts. Unpaid invoices for any fees or services payable to DUO under the Agreement will be considered in default if not paid by due date. If the Customer in default maintains any information or files on its web space, DUO may, at its discretion, remove all such material from its Web space. Removal of such material does not relieve the Customer of its obligation to pay any outstanding charges owing by the Customer.
Customers with accounts in default agree to indemnify DUO for DUO’s reasonable expenses, including but not limited to debt colletion fees, legal fees on a party-party basis, and court costs, incurred in enforcing payment of fees under the Agreement.

(e) Taxes. Customer shall remit to DUO all GST imposed on the provision of the Services , regardless of whether DUO fails to collect the tax at the time the related Services are provided.

5. Customer Obligations. The Customer agrees to do all of the following at the Customer’s expense:

(a) Security Precautions. Use reasonable security precautions in connection with its use of the Services ;

(b) Data Back Up. Notwithstanding any agreement by DUO to provide data storage or back up services, create and maintain a current copy of all customer's content stored on DUO servers or otherwise provided to DUO, and store the copy in a reasonably secure location other than a DUO server or location;

(c) Compliance with Laws and AUP. Comply with laws applicable to Customer’s use of the Services and with DUO’s AUP and

(d) Investigation of AUP. Cooperate with DUO’s investigation of any suspected violation of the AUP.

6. AUP. The Customer agrees that DUO may, in its reasonable commercial judgment consistent with industry standards, amend any part of the Agreement from time to time to further detail or describe reasonable restrictions and conditions on Customer’s use of the Hosting Services or DUO’s commercial trading terms. Amendments to the Agreement are effective on the earlier of DUO’s publication on the DUO website that an amendment has been made, or the beginning of any Renewal Term or Extended Term.
However, if:
(i) the amendment would materially and adversely affect the Customer, and
(ii) the Customer provides DUO with a written notice describing its objection to the amendment in reasonable detail within five (5) Business Days of the effective date of the amendment, and
(iii) DUO does not agree to waive the amendment as to the Customer within five (5) Business Days of the Customer’s notice, then the Customer may terminate the Agreement without liability as provided in Section 13 (a)(iv) (Termination)

7. Suspension of Service. The Customer agrees that DUO may suspend Services to the Customer without notice and without liability if:
(i) DUO reasonably believes that the Services are being used in violation of the AUP or
(ii) the Customer fails to cooperate with any DUO investigation of any suspected violation of the AUP or
(iii) there is a denial of service attack on the Customer’s content or other event for which DUO reasonably believes that the suspension of Services is necessary to protect its network or its other customers; or
(iv) as requested by a law enforcement or government agency. Information on DUO’s servers will be unavailable during a suspension of Services.

8. Warranties.

(a) Reciprocal. DUO represents and warrants to the Customer, and if the Customer is not an individual, the Customer represents and warrants to DUO, that:
(i) it has the power and authority and the legal right to enter into the Agreement and to perform its obligations under the Agreement;
(ii) it has taken all necessary action on its part to authorize the execution and delivery of the Agreement; and, (iii) the execution and delivery of the Agreement and the performance of its obligations hereunder do not conflict with or violate applicable laws or regulations, and do not conflict with or constitute a default under its charter documents.
If the Customer is an individual, the Customer represents and warrants to DUO that he or she is at least 18 years of age.

(b) Customer. The Customer represents and warrants to DUO that:
(i) the information the Customer has provided and will provide to DUO for the purposes of establishing and maintaining the Service is accurate;
(ii) Customer will not use the Services for the development, design, manufacture, production, stockpiling, or use of nuclear, chemical or biological weapons, weapons of mass destruction, or missiles, and
(iii) Customer shall not provide access to the Service to any person (including any natural person or government or private entity) that is located in or is a national of any embargoed or highly restricted country under Australia Export Regulations.

9. Unauthorized Use of Service. The Customer shall be responsible for any unauthorized use of the Services by any person, and shall pay all fees incurred for its account by any person using the Services, unless such unauthorized use results from DUO’s failure to perform its obligations under the Agreement.

10. Indemnification. The parties agree that the indemnification obligations defined in this Section where possible shall be in lieu of and supersede any indemnification obligations that may otherwise exist by law.

(a) Customer. The Customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless DUO, DUO’s affiliates, and each of their respective officers, directors, attorneys, agents, and employees from and against any and all claims, demands, liabilities, obligations, losses, damages, penalties, fines, punitive damages, amounts in interest, expenses and disbursements of any kind and nature whatsoever (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) brought by a third party under any theory of legal liability arising out of or related to:
(i) the actual or alleged use of the Services in violation of: (A) the Agreement or (B) applicable law, by any person regardless of whether such person has been authorized to use the Services by the Customer, except for unauthorized use that results from DUO’s failure to perform its obligations under the Agreement, or
(ii) any dispute regarding the control of Customer’s account with DUO.

Without limiting any of the above, the Customer shall pay DUO $250.00AUD per hour for time reasonably spent by DUO personnel to respond to third party complaints regarding Customer’s use or alleged use of the Services in violation of the AUP.

(b) Reciprocal. Each party agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the other party, the other party’s affiliates, and each of their respective officers, directors, attorneys, agents, and employees from and against any and all claims, demands, liabilities, obligations, losses, damages, penalties, fines, punitive damages, amounts in interest,
expenses and disbursements of any kind and nature whatsoever (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) brought by a third party arising out of or related to the indemnifying party’s actual or alleged infringement or misappropriation of a third party’s copyright, trade secret, patent, trademark, or other
proprietary right.

(c) Procedures. A party seeking indemnification under this Section shall provide prompt notice of its claim for indemnification to the indemnifying party; However, failure to give prompt notice shall not affect the indemnifying party’s obligations under this Section unless and to the extent that the failure materially prejudices the defense of the matter. The indemnified party will have the right to select their legal representatives to defend it in respect of any indemnified matter under this Section; provided, however, that the legal representatives selected must be reasonably satisfactory to the indemnifying party. The indemnified party will keep the indemnifying party informed of the status of any litigation or dispute resolution procedure, will give reasonable consideration to the suggestions and requests of the indemnifying party with respect to the conduct of the litigation or dispute resolution procedure, and will not settle any matter covered by this Section without the prior consent of the indemnifying party, which shall not be unreasonably withheld. Notwithstanding anything in this Section to the contrary, if the indemnifying party is indemnifying multiple persons related to the subject matter of the indemnification, the indemnifying party shall have the right to seek consolidation of all such actions and to select counsel to defend the actions. Amounts due under this Section shall be paid as incurred and may be offset against other amounts due under the Agreement

11. Disclaimer of Warranties.

DUO DOES NOT WARRANT OR REPRESENT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE. THE CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THERE ARE RISKS INHERENT IN INTERNET CONNECTIVITY THAT COULD RESULT IN THE LOSS OF CUSTOMER’S PRIVACY, CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION, AND PROPERTY.

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DUO DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL WARRANTIES NOT EXPRESSLY STATED IN THE AGREEMENT INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. THE CUSTOMER IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SUITABILITY OF THE SERVICES CHOSEN. ALL GOODS AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” BASIS, EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED IN THE SERVICE LEVEL AGREEMENT OR OTHER PORTION OF THE AGREEMENT.

12. Limitation of Damages. The parties agree that the allocations of risk made in this Section are reasonable and that they would not enter into the Agreement without these limitations on liability.

TO THE EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY LAW, THE CREDITS DESCRIBED IN THE AGREEMENT ARE THE CUSTOMER’S SOLE REMEDIES FOR DUO’S FAILURE TO MEET A GUARANTEE AND/OR WARRANTY, HOWEVER, THIS PROVISION DOES NOT LIMIT THE CUSTOMER’S RIGHT TO TERMINATE THIS AGREEMENT AS PROVIDED IN SECTION 13 (TERMINATION) IF SUCH FAILURE(S) CONSTITUTE A MATERIAL BREACH OF THIS AGREEMENT.

EXCEPT AS DESCRIBED IN THE AGREEMENT, DUO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO THE CUSTOMER FOR HARM CAUSED BY OR RELATED TO CUSTOMER’S USE OF THE SERVICES OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES UNLESS THE HARM WAS CAUSED BY DUO’S NEGLIGENCE OR MISCONDUCT.
DUO AND THE CUSTOMER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO EACH OTHER FOR ANY LOST PROFITS, OR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE LOSS OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND, OR FOR DAMAGES THAT COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED BY THE USE OF REASONABLE DILIGENCE, ARISING IN CONNECTION WITH THE AGREEMENT, EVEN IF THE PARTY HAS BEEN ADVISED OR SHOULD BE AWARE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING ELSE IN THE AGREEMENT TO THE CONTRARY, THE MAXIMUM AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF DUO AND ANY OF ITS EMPLOYEES, AGENTS OR AFFILIATES, UNDER ANY THEORY OF LAW (INCLUDING BREACH OF CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, AND INFRINGEMENT) SHALL BE A PAYMENT OF MONEY NOT TO EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY CUSTOMER FOR THE MANAGED HOSTING SERVICE FOR THE THREE MONTHS PRIOR TO THE OCCURENCE OF THE EVENT(S) GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

13. Termination.

(a) Customer. The Agreement may be terminated by the Customer 30 days prior to the expiration of the Initial Term, any Renewal Term, or Extended Term without liability (except for amounts due for Services through the effective date of termination) as follows:
(i) DUO fails in a material way to provide the Managed Hosting Service in accordance with the terms of the Agreement and does not cure the failure within ten (10) days of Customer’s written notice describing the failure in reasonable detail,
(ii) DUO materially violates any other provision of the Agreement and fails to cure the violation within thirty (30) days of Customer’s written notice describing the violation in reasonable detail, or
(iii) as provided in Section 6 (AUP) upon thirty (30) days advance written notice. , in which case there is no refund prorated or otherwise of the Annual Renewal Fee already remitted.
(iV) This Agreement will be automatically renewed at the end of the initial term for the same term specified by you unless you provide thirty (30) days written notice to DUO Hosting of termination of this Agreement.

(b) DUO. The Agreement may be terminated by DUO prior to the expiration of the Initial Term, any Renewal Term, or Extended Term, without liability as follows: (i) if Customer is overdue on the payment of any amount due under the Hosting Agreement; (ii) Customer materially violates any other provision of the Agreement, including the AUP, and fails to cure the violation within thirty (30) days of a written notice from DUO describing the violation in reasonable detail; (iii) upon one (1) Business Days notice if Customer’s Service is used in violation of a material term of the AUP more than once; or (iv) upon reasonable notice if DUO is threatened with a legal claim for copyright or patent infringement related to the provision of the Service and is unable to modify the Service in a way that avoids an ongoing risk of liability.

14. Confidentiality.

(a) Confidential Information. Confidential Information is: (i) with respect to DUO, DUO’s unpublished prices for services, audit and security reports, server configuration designs and other proprietary technology, (ii) with respect to Customer, content transmitted to or from, or stored by Customer on, DUO’s servers, and (iii) with respect to both parties, other information that is conspicuously marked as “confidential” or if disclosed in non-tangible form, is verbally designated as “confidential” at the time of disclosure and confirmed as confidential in a written notice given within one (1) day of disclosure; but excluding any information which is independently developed by a non-disclosing party as shown by such party’s written business records, is or becomes generally available to the
non-disclosing party or the public other than through violation of the Agreement, or is required to be disclosed by law or regulation. Each party agrees not to disclose the other’s confidential information to any third party except to its service providers, agents and representatives who need to know the information to represent or advise it
with respect to the subject matter of the Agreement; and provided that such service providers, agents and representatives are bound by confidentiality restrictions at least as stringent as those stated in the Agreement.

(b) DUO’s Use of Customer’s Name. The Customer agrees that DUO may publicly disclose that DUO is providing services to the Customer and may include the Customer’s name in promotional materials, including press releases and on DUO’s Web site. Neither party may publicly use the other party’s logo or other trade or service mark without that party’s permission.

(c) Requests for Customer Information. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary above, the Customer agrees that DUO may, without notice to the Customer,
(i) report to the appropriate authorities any conduct by Customer or any of Customer’s customers or end users that DUO believes violates applicable law, and
(ii) provide any information, including Confidential Information, it has about Customer or any of its customers or end users in response to a formal or informal request from a law enforcement or government agency. DUO may provide any information, including Confidential Information, it has about Customer or its customers or end users in response to a formal request in a civil action that on its face meets the requirements for such a request

15. Software. The Customer agrees not to remove, modify or obscure any copyright, trademark or other proprietary rights notices that appears on any software provided by DUO. Customer may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any DUO provided software, except and only to the extent that such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law notwithstanding this limitation, or is permitted by the terms of any “open source” license that governs the use of the software.

16. Third Party Products. As a convenience to the Customer, DUO may from time to time arrange for the Customer’s purchase or license of third party software, services, and other products not included as part of the Service, and/or may provide support to Customer in relation to those products. DUO MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTY WHATSOEVER REGARDING SUCH THIRD PARTY PRODUCTS AND RELATED SUPPORT SERVICES AND THEY ARE PROVIDED “AS IS.” Customer’s use of third party software, services, and other products is governed by the terms of any license or other agreement between the Customer and the third party.

17. Notices. Notices to DUO under the Agreement shall be given in writing via email: hosting@downunderonline.net.au.

Notices to the Customer shall be given via electronic mail to the individual designated as the Contact on the Service Order Form or by means reasonable under the circumstances, including an e-mail to a known contact. Notices are deemed received on the day delivered, or if that day is not a Business Day, on the first Business Day following the day delivered.

18. Miscellaneous.

(a) Solicitation of DUO Employees. The Customer agrees that it shall not solicit any DUO employee with whom the Customer has had direct contact in connection with this Agreement for employment with the Customer or any other person during the term of this Agreement and for twelve (12) months following termination of this Agreement. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Customer shall not be precluded from (i) hiring an employee of DUO who independently approaches the Customer, or (ii) conducting general recruiting activities, such as participation in job fairs or publishing advertisements in publications or on Web sites for general circulation.
DUO and the Customer acknowledge that this restriction on the Customer’s ability to solicit staff is reasonable in the circumstances in order to protect the viability of DUO’s business.
In the event of a violation of this provision, in addition to any other right DUO may have at law or in equity, the Customer shall make a one-time payment to DUO in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the employee’s base salary for one year.

(b) Ownership. Each party acknowledges and agrees that the other party retains exclusive ownership and rights in its trade secrets, inventions, copyrights, and other intellectual property, and that DUO shall own any intellectual property that it may develop in the course of performing the Services. The Customer does not acquire any ownership interest or rights to possess DUO’s server(s) or other hardware, and has no right of physical access to the hardware. Upon termination of the Agreement, the Customer agrees to promptly release any Internet protocol numbers, addresses or address blocks assigned to the Customer in connection with the Service (but not any URL or top level domain or domain name) and agrees that DUO may take steps to change or remove any such IP addresses.

(c) Governing Law, Jurisdiction, Venue. The Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Queensland , and the laws of Australia, as applicable, exclusive of its choice of law principles. The Agreement shall not be governed by the United Nations Convention on the International Sale of Goods. The parties agree that any litigation arising out of the Agreement should be commenced in courts situated in the Cairns District.

(d) Non-Waiver. A party’s failure or delay in enforcing any provision of the Agreement will not be deemed a waiver of that party’s rights with respect to that provision or any other provision of the Agreement. A party’s waiver of any of its rights under the Agreement is not a waiver of any of its other rights with respect to a prior, contemporaneous or future occurrence, whether similar in nature or not.

(e) Headings and Captions. The headings and captions in the Agreement are not part of the Agreement, but are for the convenience of the parties.

(f) Counterparts. Any documents signed in connection with the Agreement may be signed in multiple counterparts, which taken together will constitute one original.

(g) Survival. The following provisions will survive expiration or termination of the Agreement: fees, indemnity obligations, confidentiality obligations, provisions limiting liability and disclaiming warranties, provisions regarding ownership of intellectual property, these miscellaneous provisions, and other provisions that by their nature are
intended to survive termination of the Agreement.

(h) Force Majeure. Neither party shall be in default of any obligation under the Agreement if the failure to perform the obligation is due to any event beyond that party’s control, including, without limitation, significant failure of a portion of the power grid, significant failure of the Internet, natural disaster, war, riot, insurrection, epidemic, strikes or other organized labor action, terrorist activity, or other events of a magnitude or type for which precautions are not generally taken in the industry.

(i) No Third Party Beneficiaries. There are no third party beneficiaries to the Agreement. Neither insurers nor the customers of resellers are third party beneficiaries to the Agreement.

(j) Severability. In the event any term of this Agreement is held unenforceable by a court having jurisdiction, the remaining portion of the Agreement will remain in full force and effect, provided that the Agreement without the unenforceable provision(s) is consistent with the material economic incentives of the parties leading to the Agreement.

(k) Relationship Between the Parties. The parties are independent contractors and not partners or joint venturers. Neither party is the agent of the other and neither party may represent to any person that it has the power to bind the other on any agreement. The Agreement is non-exclusive. DUO may provide service to any person, including a competitor of the Customer.

(l) Assignment. The Customer may not transfer the Agreement without DUO’s prior written consent. DUO’s approval for assignment is contingent on the assignee meeting DUO’s credit approval criteria. DUO may assign the Agreement in whole or in part.

(m) Agreement. The Service Level Agreement, the AUP, and any DUO Addendum to this Master Services Agreement accepted by Customer are hereby incorporated in this Master Services Agreement by reference and together collectively constitute the Agreement. The Agreement is the complete and exclusive agreement between the parties regarding its subject matter and supersedes and replaces any prior agreement, understanding or communication, written or oral. The terms on either party’s purchase order or other business forms are not binding on the other party unless they are expressly incorporated into a formal written agreement signed by both parties.

BERLIN, July 19 (Reuters) - Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki told a German magazine he supported prospective U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama's proposal that U.S. troops should leave Iraq within 16 months.

In an interview with Der Spiegel released on Saturday, Maliki said he wanted U.S. troops to withdraw from Iraq as soon as possible.

"U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama talks about 16 months. That, we think, would be the right timeframe for a withdrawal, with the possibility of slight changes."

It is the first time he has backed the withdrawal timetable put forward by Obama, who is visiting Afghanistan and us set to go to Iraq as part of a tour of Europe and the Middle East.

Obama has called for a shift away from a "single-minded" focus on Iraq and wants to pull out troops within 16 months, instead adding U.S. soldiers to Afghanistan.

Asked if he supported Obama's ideas more than those of John McCain, Republican presidential hopeful, Maliki said he did not want to recommend who people should vote for.

"Whoever is thinking about the shorter term is closer to reality. Artificially extending the stay of U.S. troops would cause problems."

Maliki, who is due to visit Germany this week, has suggested a timetable should be set for a U.S. withdrawal but U.S. officials have been more cautious, despite an improving security situation.

The White House said on Friday President George W. Bush and Maliki had agreed that a security deal under negotiation should set a "time horizon" for meeting "aspirational goals" for reducing U.S. forces in Iraq.

"The Americans have found it difficult to agree on a concrete timetable for the exit because it seems like an admission of defeat to them. But it isn't," Maliki told Der Spiegel.

Some five years after the U.S.-led invasion, there are still some 146,000 U.S. soldiers in Iraq. (Reporting by Madeline Chambers; Editing by Jon Boyle)

It may be half the size and half the episodes of the original DVD, but I still like this. This mini-DVD has three of my favorite episodes from the first season. The episodes the mini disc has are the one where Cyborg quits, and the first appearances of Blackfire and the HIVE. Sure, the other three episodes aren't on here as does the bonus features, but I'd settle for first three episodes. Like I said, they're my favorites.
This mini-dvd is based off the already released 'normal' DVD of the same name, only instead of packing 6 episodes like the original did you'll only get three. Included are 'Final Exam', 'Sisters', and 'Divide and Conquer', but missing are 'Forces of Nature', 'Sum of His Parts' and 'Nevermore'. It's disappointing since these were the better episodes from this collection as well.

Only recommended for the novelty value of owning a mini-disc (which as these things become more common, won't be novel for long). Completists should skip this release and grab the original.

I saw this years ago on US Forces TV in Germany. The drama of how convicts helped found Australia and the portrayal of the characters hooked my wife and I from the start. Please release this in USA DVD format.
I saw this miniseries when it was shown in the 70's on one of the regular networks right here in the U.S.A. and I fell in love with it and wanted to own it ever since! Fortunately, someone from Australia made a copy that would play on U.S. DVD players and sold it on eBay so I NOW have a copy. Of course it cost me a fortune but it was worth every penny. This show has it all: A rich and gripping story, characters that you really root for, characters that are pure evil, characters that fall in-between good and bad; idealism, bravery, cowardice, romance, beautiful scenery, beautiful music, et cetera. This is what I call great television!
I too saw this years ago on a snowy barely recieving a signal television but watched faithfully anyway and would love to see it again without the snow. Hopefully they will bring it out in US format soon so those of us who are haunted by the story can see it again.
I loved this mini-series back in the 70s. I remember watching it with my entire family and it captivated everyone from my grandmother to my brothers (who were generally too cool for anything). I will be one of the first to buy the US format. Please do it soon!!!
I also remember watching this probably on HBO back in the early '80's and the story was extraordinary. The believability of the brutality and harsh lives they had to endure came right through the (much smaller) screen! The acting and script were thoroughly compelling and I've never forgotten the haunting music that was at least the opening each week, and probably ran through the episodes as well. The Brits (okay, the Aussies) know how to make movies! Being a region 0 dvd, it should play on some dvd players--I've gotten dvds from the UK before, also region 0 and have played them with no problem, but they should be reproduced to be compatible with all US players. Quality televison that does not show people learning how to dance, eating pig bladders or hitting each other with chairs! Well worth getting--I can't wait to watch it again but be prepared, you'll get not much done around the house for a while--it's many hours, and you'll want to keep watching without a break--maybe wait for a snow day!

Return to eden was the australia answer to dynasty. Premiered as mini series and continued with this first and only season return to eden gives what it promises. Power, love, hate, corruption, money, beautiful actors, exactly what dynasty did.
Unfortunately the show was canselled after the end of the first season which presented here in all it's glory.

The product was what I ordered and came in a timely manner. What more could I ask?
We purchased this DVD for our grandson. He seems to be delighted and thrilled with the storyline which pleases us to no end.
I loved the book, and I loved the movie.
Nothing major from the book is left out which is amazing considering how long the book was.
Hollyweird does right by Potter fans AGAIN!

Better then looking at this movie on blu-ray then on regular dvd. Very, very clear and excellent sound.
I'm not sure this movie really deserves 5 stars. But seeing that it follows the 1st phenomena ("The Sorcerer's Stone") as well as could be expected, I'll be generous. It is now a few months after the end of Part 1, and Harry is spending his last few summer days with the Dursleys before he leaves for school. The Dursleys have not really changed since part 1. They are still abusive to him. Harry is wondering why he has not heard from his friends at school over the summer. To make a long story short, Harry gets an unexpected guest (Dobby) who accidentally reveals that he doesn't want Harry to return to school, because it could be dangerous. Naturally, Harry gets angry and in their conflict, Harry ends up making the Dursleys angry. Harry and Ron are unable to get through 'Platform 9 3/4' which makes them realize something is up. But in an under the table way, they make it to school, but end up making the cold but virtuous Professor Snape angry. (His anger is understandable to some extent.) Moving on, Harry meets Ron's sister Ginny who takes a liking to Harry. We also meet Kenneth Brannagh's character. (A writer who seems friendly enough, and is skilled in the study of Defense Against the Dark Arts.) He seems friendly enough, but we see that he is not exactly an expert. In a memorable conflict, Professor Snape knocks him out. That is not to say that Brannagh doesn't mean well at times. At times, it really seems he wants to help. (such as when Harry breaks his arm) But he doesn't really know what he is doing. (Rather than fixing Harry's arm, he makes the broken bones go away.) The major suspense in this movie has to do with the Chamber of Secrets. Throughout the film, certain parties become paralyzed (including Hermonie), and we see mysterious and creepy writing on the walls. Harry eventually gets hold of the diary of Tom Riddle, and learns that the kind hearted Hagrad has a questionable past. (Perhaps he housed a killer monster.) To make matters worse, Hagrad is arrested and Dumbledore is suspended. Harry and Ron go to Hagrad's old monster friend for information. But while he tells them some useful information, we see that his gratefulness to Hagrad (for saving his life) does not extend to Hagrad's friends. Tesions rise when Ron's sister Ginny disappears. This leads to a climactic showdown between Harry and a dark wizard we know quite well. To be sure, this movie deletes some things from the book. (Ginny's Funny Valentine's Day Card to Harry, Nearly Headless Nicholas's celebration of his death party, and some others.) But the only thing I really missed was when Dumbledore gets suspended, Malfoy expresses his hopes that Professor Snape will be made headmaster, to which the slightly flattered, but still virtuous Professor Snape insists that Dumbledore will be back. If you liked Part 1, don't miss this great sequel.

Cauron brilliantly presents this third Harry Potter film. Great new casting for Gary Oldman as Sirius Black, Michael Gambon as the new Dumbledore, David Thewlis as Remus Lupin and Timothy Spall as Peter Pettigrew. Old actors still show their brilliance like Maggie Smith, Alan Rickman, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson. Great script. Great performance all round.
I loved all the books and most of the movies. Big Harry Potter fan, but my 6-year old son enjoyed the 1st movie but was scared of the 2nd, 3rd, the end of the 4th, and the 5th. This and "Goblet of Fire" is my favorite of the Harry Potter movies so far. This movie tells more about Harry's parents and how they died. Cute, funny, and sad all at the same time.

a great movie for kids ages 5-35. same basic "cinderella" story with a new modern twist.
An entertaining story for Hillary Duff fans...or not. Purchased as a gift for twin 10 year old girls who enjoyed the movie.
I first watched this movie when it came into theatres, and I actually talked my friends into watching this instead of another movie, which was a hit thriller.

The main reason why I chose this over the other movie was not because of the cast members. Though i admit that I admire the beautiful Miss Hilary Duff and Mr Chad michael Murray as many teenagers do out there(hey! I'm only sixteen myself!), I watched the movie because I was attracted by the story.

Cinderella is one of my favourite fairytales since I was a kid, and I am really glad that it's made into a comedy telling the story of a girl. A Cinderella Story illustrates many aspects of lives of teenagers; family, school, friends, part-time job... and it's shouting out to every teenager out there: never give up. Cling onto your dreams. Eventually, everything will be alright.

If you are one of Hilary Duff's most ardent pre-teen fans, chances are you'll find something to enjoy inA Cinderella Story, but everyone else should proceed with caution. It's an updated fairy tale for the age of instant messaging, which is how Sam (Duff) develops a crush on Austin (Chad Michael Murray) before realizing that this Tennyson-quoting poet-at-heart is actually her San Fernando Valley high school's star quarterback and most desirable hunk. Homebrew Channel

The Homebrew Channel is a homebrew application loader by Team Twiizers which allows users to load homebrew applications without having to run the Twilight Hack every time. Once installed, users can access the channel from the Wii Menu just like any other Wii channel. It can launch homebrew applications in dol or elf -- either from an SD card, or via TCP or USB Gecko using Wiiload. It is also capable of downloading online updates for itself.

The Homebrew Channel can be downloaded from the official site

Assuming the Twilight Hack is already installed on your Wii;

Download the installer from the link above.
Expand the archive to find README.txt, wiiload and boot.elf
Place the boot.elf file in the root of your SD card.
Run the Twilight Hack, and allow the installer to load.
READ THE DISCLAIMER! In the very unlikely case your Wii should be bricked by the installer, this will let you know where you stand in regards to Team Twiizers.
Press the RESET button on your Wii.

The installation should be automatic from this point on, and your Wii will reboot.

Configuring Applications

In order to make an application appear in the Homebrew Channel, the following steps must be taken:

Make a folder on the root of your SD card called "apps".
In the folder "apps," create a folder for the application (for this example, ScummVM will be used).
Copy the files for the application into its folder (e.g. apps/scummvm/).
Find the executable file (either .elf or .dol) and rename it to boot.elf (or boot.dol if it was a .dol file) if it is not already named that (e.g. apps/scummvm/boot.dol).

Now the application will appear in the Homebrew Channel. However, its appearance on the menu is difficult to distinguish from other applications. To fix this, text and an image can be added.

Adding Text

To add text to an application in the Homebrew Channel, do the following:

Make a file in the folder of the application (e.g. apps/scummvm/) called "meta.xml" (e.g. apps/scummvm/meta.xml).
Open "meta.xml" in Notepad and add the following text as a template:

Add the appropriate information in between the relevant indicators. For example, the name of the application goes between and . The purpose of each field is as follows:

 *Name: The name of the application
 *Coder: The name of the person or group that wrote the code for the program.
 *Version: The version of the application.
 *Release_date: The data the application was released. It has to be a timestamp using this format: YYYYmmddHHMMSS
 *Short_description: This is displayed on the main menu of the Homebrew Channel (before you select an application) and is used as
 a space to add a few words to describe the program.
 *Long_description: This is displayed once the application is chosen. It describes the program and its function in great detail,
 and can be used to elaborate on a program's controls.

Adding an Icon

In order to make icons for the Homebrew Channel show up, they must be in .png format with dimensions of 128x48 pixels. The full alpha channel can be used. Copy it into the folder of the application under the name "icon.png" (e.g. apps/scummvm/icon.png).

Complete Setup Format

After you install the apps on your SD card. It should look something like this. If you have any problems having your Applications showing up on the 'HBC', make sure you are following the correct format.

Removal

Removing the channel can be done by simply deleting it with the channel management in the Wii system software.

Homebrew apps/FTPii

Copy the ftpii folder to /apps on the SD card.

There is also a way to install ftpii without removing the SD card from the Wii. Use wiiload (with the Homebrew Channel) to boot ftpii. When the network has initialized, use your favourite FTP client to connect to you Wii. You can enter anything for a user name and password right now. Once you have logged in, navigate to the apps folder on your SD card, and upload the ftpii directory (containing boot.elf, meta.xml and icon.png) here.

Once you are done altering files, close the connection from your client, then push the A button on Wiimote #1. This will bring you out of ftpii and back to the HBC application selection menu. ftpii will now be in the list to run again without the need of wiiload.

Setting Login Password

To specify a password via The Homebrew Channel, rename the apps/ftpii directory to apps/ftpii_YourPassword.
To specify a password via wiiload, pass an argument e.g. wiiload boot.elf YourPassword.

I think the overall cost of the product is high with shipping and handling. My kid though is having fun with the product.
I bought this for my son because he is a fan of Ben 10. He wants to wear it all of the time.
My son's 8 and he just can't stop playing with it. Of course, each child has different favourite toys but mine has found in this one his dream come true.
The "classic" Ben 10 watch was what my 5-year-old wanted and it's what we got. He loved it and played with it immediately. He spent several weeks with it almost exclusively. Now the play with it has given way to his recent squirt gun and water toy acquisitions. But this was worthwhile.

My trio loves this. Our ramp did have a defect in the ramp. The hook wouldn't stay on but hubby finally got a permanant fit to it.
My 21 month old son loves this toy. Generally, I buy a toy and it is old news within a few days. But it has been nearly a month and it is the one toy he plays with everyday. When I play with him, I try to teach him names of things, sounds, colors, etc, so it can be educational, too. I think the Little People concept is great for toddlers since it stimulates imaginatory play.
My 2 year old son is a big fan of Little People and has been for about a year now. He received this as a gift when he was about 20 months old. He really enjoys sending cars down the ramp. I was very happy to discover that the Playskool cars and trucks for babies/toddlers fit in the elevator and the ramp as well. My son also loves to send the people down in the wheelchair that came with the Little People bus! He also enjoys having the truck tow the car and also likes to "fill" the gas tank of both vehicles. My biggest complaint about it is that it's an awkward size. It's pretty large (larger than I expected), but if you set it on the floor, it's harder for them to play with the stuff on the bottom (gas pump, pull in for the station, etc.). If you put it on a table, it's harder for them to put things on the top level and send them down (and my son is in the 95th %tile for height). My other complaint is that the ramps come apart pretty frequently which is annoying (but easy enough to fix). Bottom line: I think the farm, zoo, or house provide better learning opportunities in a smaller size that is easier to store. They also have more things "to do", but if you have a child who is really into cars, this will be a hit.
My son loves putting everything from the little peoples car to cereal down the track. I like it because it is of good size. It is a nice big size but not to heavy so he can drag it around the house. it is durable and a bit hard to put together. I think it was worth the money simply because he enjoys it soo much.
The racing ramp was a favorite toy of me and my others, so I thought it would be great for my son. Not so much. This version makes little sence. The elevator is hard to use, the ramp functions more on it's own. You can't really imagine you are in a car garage, using every level. My car crazed sone uses it MUCH much less than I thought he would. I'd buy a different car ramp after using this one. It was dissapointing. I'm combing second hand stores looking for the vintage version!Zip and zoom cars around in this three-story garage that's packed with action features. The Racin' Ramps Garage has a three-story elevator with mechanical bell sounds that you can hear as you raise and lower it. The automatic stop sign "knows" when to lower and raise itself to signal traffic through. There is also a gas pump, bat-at air hose and tow truck with fun sounds. My little granddaughter loves this tea-set, and serves tea every day! When guests come, she faithfully appears with her tray and the guests love it. She was very sad that her previous porcelain tea-set got oken after she decided to hammer it into shape. Now, she tests the set for durability and is very pleased when nothing bad happens. This tea-set is a hit!
Great for a 2 year old with a good imagination. Safe and durable with interesting details to hold interest. The musical teapot with the familiar tune that all toddlers know is great. Lots of parts to match and fit together adds to the fun!
So I went out and bought this tea set for my daughter. We were super excited. Her cousin has this set, and has had it for about 2 years, and my daughter plays with it at her house. Well, we open up the box, and lo and behold, the teacups all have two holes in the side of the cup! You could only put just a little bit of water in them, before it reached the hole. Her cousin's teacups do not have holes. Why oh why did Fisher Price ruin a great thing?!? Also, besides the holes, if you leave the pot on it's side, the super annoying teapot lid continuously plays the "magic" pouring sound until the pot is righted. I'm talking about every 5 seconds the thing goes off. It is not a high quality music like most toys have now, but a high pitched poor quality sound. Also the teapot lid fits very tightly in the pot, which is good so that it doesn't fall out when you pour, but for a younger child, like 3 or younger, they may have a hard time with it. Overall, this is such an adorable tea set, and we were really looking forward to using it, but we returned it since we cannot even have a real tea party. We will continue our search for the perfect tea set.
I purchase this for my 2 yr daughter. She was only able to play with it for a few minutes. The first time she went to place the teapot on the pedistal it snapped off; leaving a jagged edge and a sharp metal stick protruding out of the stem of the pedistal. My Son got this for his 1st birthday and he has played with it constantly ever since! He's almost 2 and it's still his favorite toy. The bats at his grandparent's house are so light he can carelessly hit the balls into everyone and everything; but with the heavy bat in this set, he needs to use proper form with both hands on the bat, which makes it much more controlled. My only minor complaint is that the box advertizes height adjustable, but the only adjustment is unscrewing the T from the base to change the height an inch or less. All in all, WE LOVE THIS T-BALL and we would definitely get this set again!
It's a great product, but I only have one suggestion... make it more durable for kids who are a little older (my son is 4), and who are a little stronger. My son knocks over the t-ball stand quite easily, as he has quite a swing. Despite that, he still plays with it and has had a lot of fun.
This a great toddler t-ball set. My 2 year old son loves it! My only complaint is that it only comes with 2 balls and replacement balls are hard to come by (We lost one and my dog ate the other). Little Tykes sells them directly for $1 each and a $6.95 shipping charge, plus a $10 surcharge if you order more than one. Crazy! So we wound up getting wiffle type replacement balls. Still a great, fun toy!
My 3 1/2 year old son loves the bat. The balls are very light and easy to dent if you hit them hard, so this is really meant for children, not adults. The balls don't stay on the blue stand very well, but the red ball holder works well.
My daughter received this toy for here Birthday in May. We have been having load of fun with it ever since. This toy has greatly improved her hand eye coordination as well as her throwing accuracy. (which I am not sure is a good thing yet) She feels a real sense of accomplishment when she hits the ball well and it does help use up some of that " I am Four and have endless energy". The Grow to Pro basketball set is a lot of fun for my 4 year old and 8 year old. They like the fact that the height can be adjusted and I make it higher to make it more challenging for them. The set is sturdy also. Makes a great activity for kids. I recommend this highly.

This is definitely a great hoop for my 2 yr old and my 4 yr old. I totally love it as well (once it was assembled) and have fun playing hoops with them. I must admit though I assembled it myself (the mom) and I really struggled. I ended up liquid-soaping everything and then it worked a bit easier but it was tough. But worth hanging in there to do it.
I definatly would recommend this. I have 3 boys ages 7, 4, 3. They love it and I can adjust the hight for each of them. I usually get my husband to put stuff together but he was busy, so I did. The directions were easy to understand, I did use dish detergent to get the pole into the base. It is very sturdy. The kids love it!!

My four year old son asked for these EVERY time he saw the commercial, and he does not do that with everything he sees. He is crazy about the Hulk and Spiderman. I got these for him for his fourth birthday and he LOVES them! I was expecting them to be a foam type of material, but they are cloth.
My son loved this. At first I wasn't sure if he would being that he is only 4, but he wears them all the time along with the mask and the gloves are soft and cushy. There is of course no educational value to them, but he has lots of fun with them.

Okay, I'm a huge fan of this because it has a tee and adjustable position launcher, and it's cheap. However, it isn't perfect. 1) It uses batteries, and that's fine. However, it will only spin up the motor for about four pitches before it spins down. This preserves battery life (you need time to collect balls, reload) but doesn't work if you have a bucket of plastic balls. You need to keep pressing the start button. I'll be converting this to AC power at some point and overriding the timeout. 2) It ships with really nice soft balls, which are useless in reality because you will lose them. Better to go to a local store and buy an eight-pack of cheap plastic practice balls. I can get them for two bucks and buy a few packs, load up the machine, and go. If they get lost, so what? I have twenty-four of them. The tee eaks away, which is probably good for now but eventually will no longer stay attached. The tip should flex more so it won't eak away. Duct tape can help me here. 4) It lacks a guide to force it along a path, so lighter balls can sometimes fly out high. It was probably designed for the pillow-balls that shipped, but a guide would keep the path predictable. Ultimately, how did my boy like it? My son loves it. I've been pitching to him for a year or so now, and now his mom can finally get the pitches right where they need to be without figuring out his strike zone. The neighborhood kids all give it a thumbs-up, too, so that's ten "yes" votes right there. -C
This product is fun for the entire family. My son can use the T-ball set-up and my daughter can use the pitch option. We have had a blast using it. Our kids would have us pitch to them all day if we would let them - this product makes us all happy.
I bought this for my 4 year old son - who loves it - but surprisingly my 9 year old daughter does poorly in gym fights with her other to play with it - and she hit a ball over the 6' fence in our yard - out to the street - maybe her gym grade will go up.
I was excited about this toy for my grandson's 5th birthday and was not disappointed! It is easy to use,easy to store and my grandson his improving his skills. In response to the person who wondered how this toy would hold up if used outdoors, I can tell you that we used ours all last summer, then left it outside through a New England winter, and it still works perfectly. Our entire family loves this basketball hoop. It was a Father's Day gift for my husband from our children and they have enjoyed shooting hoops together. The height is easily adjustable making it a great toy for all our kids.
I bought this item for my son who is almost 2 and he loves it! The only things I don't like about it is that its awful flimsy..and the net kept falling off the rim to where I had to tape it somewhat. I think this product could have been made a little better. Other then that its great.
solid little basketball set for toddler (my son is 13 months old and is just tall enough to dunk at the lowest setting). Love that it 'grows' with the kid as they lengthen. The hoop piece tends to loosen after several dunks; not sure if that's because I haven't stuffed it into the backboard with enough force.
I purchased this for my grandson for his first birthday, he likes the ball so far, but he is still a bit young to actually get the ball in the hoop. His dad loves it though, so I am sure the little guy will have no problems learning from his daddy. I would definitely recommend this toy.

I was a bit skeptical after owsing the reviews for this play food set, but ultimately decided to go for it because it was created by the same manufacturer as my 2-year-old daughter's LifeStyle Kitchen (Step 2). I can assure you I was not disappointed and neither was she. The food is durable and the variety is impressive. I must say the picture, though not completely inaccurate, is a bit deceiving only because it shows items that were not included in the package (i.e., cans, boxes, etc). I would say though that what I received is better than what the picture above shows. All of the food is plastic - no cardboard boxes. Several of the items were duplicates, but I, for one, found that appealing because now she can serve two of the same meal. The variety included everything from hot dogs, to avacado, to sushi. The best part is that the food is made to scale with the kitchen, so it fits pefectly into the pots and pans included with the kitchen. Overall, I am thrilled and my daughter is begging me relentlessly to play kitchen with her.
Lots of diffenent foods the kids can identify. 20 bucks (common price) a little high but easier to get it all at once. We have other sets of dishes that get thrown in the kitchen set as well. The boxed foods are not durable, but the others are great and very colorful.
I have an almost 2 yr. old alpha male, I bought him this set, because he loves to pretend to make food... It's not at all what the picture shows, no cans, no boxes, instead there are common plastic food items like the banana, apple, grapes, and doughnuts. Also, there are some funny random off the wall items like sushi rolls, pasta, tofu (I think) and eggs, in the shell and sunnyside up. It's play food, and it's totally cute fun play food, my son looks forward to making eakfast in the morning bacon included!
I bought this set for my son when he turned 2 and while it has a really wide assortment of fruits and vegetables and he had fun learning about some that he'd never seen before, it's really cheaply made and not at all durable. My 2 yr old put several pieces in his mouth and pretended to bite them (a logical step in playing "let's pretend to make lunch", I think) and after a few times they actually cracked (the banana is the one I remember clearly) and I threw them away. I also threw out the individual french fries and a couple of other smaller pieces as I think they're choking hazards. Well, today my 10 mth old got hold of one of the tomato slices and managed to wedge it wholly in his mouth. So I've just gone through all our play food and thrown away ALL of the items that came with this set. They're simply too small and cheaply made to be safe around any child that will put them in his/her mouth whether it's part of pretending or teething.
I bought this product for my 6 year old grandaughter. Her family is military and she has lost most of her play food items in their moves around the world. My only concern is that with that many pieces, the items might be too small. Like doll house sized. They are not! They are not flimsy thin plastic either. There is a wide variety of food items in the selection and they are well colored and easily recognizable. (An oldie, but...)

I bought both DVD's, the new Widescreen Special Collector's
Edition (which contains two discs), and the older 1998 DVD,
on a single disc. The newer version seems to have altered
the movie. In the newer version, when they are in the flight
school and Jester is giving a lecture, one of the pilots says,
He is giving me a "headache", whereupon Slider says, Don't
tempt me. But in the 1998 DVD, the line is, THIS is giving me
a "headache".

These days, with media content in digital format, old movies
can be altered. Profanity can be inserted, entire scenes added
or deleted. Which is the one true version? I don't like seeing
great art tampered with. As another example, how many versions
of Mona Lisa, or the Last Supper, are there? How can you determine
the original? Will you trust a particular publisher? How do you
know the name of the publisher has not been forged? You can store
a lot of writing in digital format on a computer, but how do you
know your computer will not be hacked into and content altered?

A lot of movies have been made which are politically subversive,
which the ruling classes would like to see abolished. If you think
this is paranoia, just look at the Bible publishing companies.
Intuitively, most people, I think realize that there is only one
correct English version. So where did all these other versions
of the Bible come from? Around 1970 and onwards, newer versions to
challenge the King James Version, were created. And there are even
different editions of the KJV Bible out there, changing spelling,
italics, punctuation marks, etc.

So, if you want to watch 'Top Gun', get the 1998 DVD, which I think
contains the movie audiences saw in the theatres. The new DVD
version does not seem to have the exact same movie as found on the
1998 DVD. The original movie appears to have been tampered with,
and altered.
If you own an hd dvd player this is a must have for your collection. Great movie! Great Price! If you have a surround system with a DTS mode, select Dolby 6.1 DTS and be prepared to be blown away.
I feel the need, the need for speed !
This is perhaps the most important line in the entire movie which was later used in other movies and games.
TOP GUN is by far the best movie around dogfighting and war planes in general.
Maverick ( Tom Cruise ) although he is still young in the acting business performs admirably and makes a character that will never be forgot.
TOP GUN got a face lift in the HD-DVD version , the entire film looks a lot better and the sound is crystal clear. This movie is a must not only for collectors but for anyone that loves war planes and an adrenaline rush movie.
Top Gun is the kind of movie that can really benefit from hi-def treatment, with thrilling fighter jet acrobatics and vast shots of earth, sea, sky, and much smaller but still big enough things like aircraft carriers. The filmmakers took great care to achieve realism in some of its technical aspects while letting the plot fly high in typical Hollywood manner. The result is not only a solid mainstream blockbuster, but even for many who flinch at its implausibilities and plot cliches it qualifies as a guilty pleasure.

Tom Cruise is "Maverick," a hot shot Navy fighter pilot with attitude, haunted by the mysterious fate of his father, a Navy pilot shot down over Southeast Asia. Called up to the elite "Top Gun" Navy fighter pilots school, Maverick displays both his outstanding flying prowess and his character flaws, pulling off brave and foolhardy stunts (that would end the career of real fighter pilots), failing to be a team player, and wooing a beautiful woman (Kelly McGillis) who turns out to be one of his instructors. Then a tragic event causes him to lose his nerve. About to give up, and losing the girl, he learns the true fate of his father. Will he live up to his father's example or wash out?

Not everyone likes Tom Cruise (I think he's always been a fine actor), but even his detractors ought to admit he was well suited to this role, easily projecting an attractive but immature cockiness. The flight scenes are great fun, done to popular 80s rock that, with more romantic tunes like "Take My Breath Away," made the soundtrack a top seller. The plot cliches are cliches because they usually work, and they're effectively enough played out here.

The Best of the Best featurette, about the real US Navy Fighter Weapons School, appears to be new to Region 1, but was included in the 2004 Special Collector's Edition in other regions.

The film will be in its original 2.35:1 widescreen, at 1080p. The sound will be English Dolby TrueHD 5.1, English DTS-HD Master Audio 6.1, French Dolby Digital 5.1, Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1, and optional subtitles in English, English for the deaf and hard of hearing, French, Spanish, or Portuguese.

This movie was already released in HD at 1080p, so we should expect the new Blu-ray to be at least as good as that release. The video for the HD was generally praised, especially in comparison to the standard DVD, with new sharpness and detail, better and more saturated though not spectacular color, minor grain in some shots that was due to the original film grain, and some minor dust specs. The sound was also generally well received for a movie of its age, with lots of rear speaker activity and booming bass.

Looks like this should be a fine DVD, if you like the movie.
I originally saw this in the theater, and when this movie first came out on VHS, I saw it on a neighbor's in-home theater system, and the sensation was beyond words (for the time).

Fast forward to DVD and today's theater technology, and this is still a great movie. But the addition of the second disk really makes this a great deal. The background of the film and the commentary from those Naval aviators who did the flying made this something I could not pass up.

I was lucky enough to get a ride in an F-4 and land on the USS Eisenhower in the '70s, and the term "postage stamp in the middle of the ocean" doesn't begin to describe what you see.

This is a great deal, and I recommend it to all..

(Conservative Christians Beware of Transformation of Values)

One conservative web-site presented this film as wholesome and entertaining with some action violence and nothing more than a kiss on the moral scale. Well, this is not really the whole story. We had to turn it off without finishing it because of the never ending innuendos and crudeness. One Christian movie review web-site lists this as "offensive"--this is being too kind. The absence of actual "bedroom" scenes does not make a film fit for Christians. Don't let biblical values be transformed into those of the world. If you have conservative biblical values, stay away; certainly don't let your kids have free access to this moral cesspool of a film.
This film ...In my opinion.... is a classic !!! Hands Down ! It starts
and keeps going (fast paced) ..until a spectacular ending !
the cast&the crew have made this a quality classic .. I've seen this film several times BEFORE the dvd purchase&I recommend this to anyone !
Warning: Only for Transformers fans! I should never have bought this DVD, replete with potholes so large the whole thing could fall into another dimension. Jon Voight, John Turturro, Shia LaBeouf, and Josh Duhamel do what they can with this shallow material, earning enough to buy more cars and summer homes. Do yourself a favor and get any "Riddick" film, or the superb "Equilibrium" instead. This kid stuff degenerates into fantasy disguised as Sci-Fi, covered up by layers of special effects.

The best role is that of "Mojo," a broken-legged Chihuahua who would have saved the film if he'd been the sole story. Ultimately, the Cube is a big "so what," and the Transformers, supposedly beings of higher intelligence, call themselves ridiculous names like Optimus Prime.

Schmaltz Alert: A good laugh derived from a scene so filled with Spielbergian Schmaltz as to seem a Spielberg Parody. But no, in the corny School of Spielberg, director Michael Bay delivers a scene with: a tiny blonde girl, a purple "My Pony," and a bag placed under a pillow labeled "My Tooth." But it can't stop there, on no, she must simper and ask one of the clumsy, unscary aliens, "Are you the Tooth Fairy?" Spare yourself.
Shia lebouf is a young actor with spirit, not gourgeous and so handsome but definately has the spirit like Harison ford so when I heard about his role in New Indiana jones episodes, I SAID TO MYSELF, GOOD JOB sTEVEN. You've just found a young decendant for harison ford in upcoming Indiana Jones adventures. Although, he is still young and has at least ten years to become a face who can lead a Jones movie without Harison for. Selecting him as Sam in Transformers was so smart and maybe the reason that this movie is so touching is partly because of him but in contrary, other actor selections are terrible. Megan Fox, acting talent is ZERO, communicating is ZERO, May look beautiful and sexy from distance but not a big deal in reality. The first time I saw her on big screen, not really big screen, better say a big screen TV, was back to 2003 in a cheap movie named "Confessions of a teenage drama queen" as a wicked rich girl. In time I said to myself, what was the director thinking when she put her in front of Lindsay lohan. Lindsay may have better acting talents and spirit but in reality there is no way that she can oppose such girl as Megan but, in transformers, they should have used a girl such as Lindsay instead of just a sexy stone girl because, this movie was not a teenage romantic comedy but an action film needed some spirit. SPIRIT! Another criticism is about using those fat African-American phenomenons in the movie. why? to show that Americans are not racist? It's an old story to mandatory use of black people to show that America is not a race base society. Of course it's not. it's time to use people in movies when they are needed and suitable not because they are black. Anyway, this was a good movie. I hope there will be more sequels.
Frikkin' awesome! Love Shia Labeouf (quite the cutie), love action/sci-fi/comedy/bit-of-romance films. Autobots battle the Decepticons! Must save mankind! Fantastic graphics! Oh yeah! Another A+ for Steven Spielberg. Looking forward to more Transformer movies. Autobots, rollout!

Dreamworks Transformers - HD-DVD

I bought this anthology as a present for my dad who is, still, the greatest Beatles fan in the world. He really wanted to see some live concerts, but I wasn't sure whether these DVDs would satisfy his curiosity. I watched the 5 DVDs with my dad and they were unbelievably entertaining. They present the Beatles in a new light - these guys were very funny and easy going. It was a pleasure to follow their career from the very beginning! The DVDs contain live concerts, interviews and personal footage. A MUST HAVE!!!
Boyfriend loved it. Nearly fanatic Beatle fan and this really worked for him and I found myself watching it much longer than I'd have expected. it's very interesting. Lisa
I remember in the 80's the vhs documentary called "The comlpete Beatles" which was only two hours. then in 1995 we had the privilege of seeing the the three night documentary of Anthology which wetted our lips a bit , especially with new Beatle songs to come with it. So I hev been in a Beatles faze recently ,so after two years of thinking about this release , I decided this past Sat. to finally purchase this set on Dvd. I decided to watch a chapter a day so i wouldn't cram it all in and get bored , so that sat night I watched part one of the DVD , then Sunday morning I stared with part two and just kept going because I could not get enough. Now I have finished watching the set , and I still want more.
This is more complete of a history on the band that the actual titled "Complete Beatles" will ever be. I will cherish this set for as long as I live.

Everyone alive should see this essential document of the Earth-changing event that was The Beatles.
Initially broadcast as a TV miniseries to go with the series of threeAnthologydouble-CD albums, this set of eight documentary tapes has the heft and scope of one of Ken Burns's expansive projects. Still, unless you are either a historian or a truly committed fan, you'll find yourself with way more material--particularly about the Beatles' early lives as lads in Liverpool--than you'll want to watch. The documentary material is copious, including early performance films and tapes, at the point before they found their true voices. The actual Beatlemania years--beginning in 1963 and concluding in 1970--feature extensive performance films, as well as home movies and archival material. The best parts, of course, are the interviews with the Beatles themselves, who produced the entire thing. Along with reworking two previously unreleased John Lennon tracks as "new Beatles songs," theAnthologyincludes some unseen Lennon interview tapes so that his acerbic voice can be heard as well. This stands as a comprehensive document of that heady period, the second coming of rock&roll, as the Beatles took what Elvis had started and expanded upon it exponentially. You get what you pay for with this set. The price here on Amazon is terrific, and you do get many gems in this collection. It is also an awesome way of building up your collection cheaply. I did however take out my copies of Last Man on Earth and the Night of the Living Dead to compare with the ones presented on this set. After a side by side viewing, there is no way I will be getting rid of my copies. The versions presented on this set are dark, filled with pops and crackles, and the print is terrible. That is not to say all the films are that way, many are actually quite good copies. The film grade is as mixed as the movies themselves, you have some really stinkers and some sparkling jewels. Overall for the price, it is well worth the purchase to get so many movies.
I bought this set for my husband's birthday and we have both been enjoying these classic horror movies, watching one or two a day (most run between 65-90 minutes, "Metropolis" is the longest at 119) for the past month. I am kind of sad it does not include "Plan 9 from Outer Space", but there are many other great classics ("Nosferatu", "Bluebeard") and not-so-greats ("White Zombie" with Bela Lugosi, "The Brain That Wouldn't Die"). Some of the special effects are laughable (the Killer "Shrews" and Attack of the Giant "Leeches") but I like the fact the movies were more about the suspense without being overly gory. "Atom Age Vampire", "Dementia 13", "The Last Man on Earth", the silent "Phantom of the Opera" and the original "Little Shop of Horrors" are favorites of mine. I agree the quality of the films is not the best, but this is a great deal to get 50 movies on 12 DVDs for less than the price of one new release.
this set was exactly as I had expected, and as was offered in its description. Everything was new, and the movies are an awesome collection. They are good quality, even though they are very old films. Everything arrived on time and unbroken.
This is a great collection of old time horror movies. Truly the very classic ones I watched growing up. Some are far-fetched but that is the beauty in this collection! It is a great buy and a fun see!!
I bought this for my boyfriend who is the biggest horror movie fan ever. He was SOO exited when I gave it to him! Its a MUST HAVE if you love horror movies. The only thing I didn't like about it was how the dvd's were in little paper sleeves, but other than that it was a really good buy

I only saw two of these movies in the set. The first is Angel and the Bad Man. That was pretty cute basically, except the toss-away-your-weapons pacifist message - the Duke gives up guns for the Quaker girl - isn't one I agree with. The second movie was McClintock. The basic message seemed to be that women are irrational, verbally abusive nutcakes. But no problem!
Just humilitate them in public, give them a hard spanking with some kind of metal instrument, (couldn't tell which kind) and they will transform into little obedient lambs. McClintock passses on his "paddle" to be used by his daughter's fiance.

On the other hand, the frequently drunk, carousing husband doesnt' show any remorse or signs of changing himself.

I am not going to watch the rest of the movies in this series. But if McClintock is an example of what any of the others are like, I think this dvd set should be placed in the genre of "Scary Stuff."
Many of these movies were not the best quality to begin with. This set further lowers the quality by using copying from low quality prints, and (in the case of the wide-screen movies) lopping off the sides of the movie. Spend a little more and you won't be distracted from some fun movies by the quality.
No, this is not Duke's 20 "Best of" collection. But it is an insight to many of his early movies. Although most are forgettable, they are enjoyable to watch.

Disc 1 starts well with "Blue Steel" and "The Dawn Rider", allowing you to see early movie making. The remaining movies, and those bearing the Lone Star logo get a bit repetitive, and it might require most to use the fast forward in many scenes.

Disc 2 is also primarily Lone Star, but the first ("Hell Town") and last ("Winds of the Wasteland") are not, and are easily the best of the one-hour variety. Don't skip these two.

Disc 3 starts out with two more Lone Star, but they might be the best two from that bunch. Then we get some real treats.

"Angel and the Badman" is a very good B&W feature that highlights the evolution from simple action of the earlier movies to real storytelling. Following is "McLintock", which is a real hoot, the only color movie included. It contains many familiar faces, many very young. It's definately not politically correct, but great slapstick comedy. These two movies alone are worth the price of the set.

The final "movie" isn't a movie, it a documentary about the westerns of John Ford. Anyway, it's still enjoyable to watch.

An added bonus is over an hour of movie trailers of Wayne's.

Transfer quality is not great, but actually a better than I expected from the age of many of the movies, and low, low price.

The collection was a gift to a big John Wayne Fan...she thought it was awesome...for the money a great bang for the dollar..a great value!

With the exception of ANGEL AND THE BADMAN (1947) and MCLINTOCK (1963), all of the John Wayne westerns in this collection date from the 1930's.

Judging by the fact that most of these movies, when listed individually on Amazon, have zero or one Amazon review, it is fair to say that they are not well known. For this reason, this 20-movie collection is a treasure of sorts.

Several reviewers have already pointed out that the movies here are abridged. Indeed, this can be annoying. For instance, those familiar with the original version of MCLINTOCK will recognize that a funny part had been edited out.

There is also included an interesting documentary by John Ford. In it, John Wayne speaks as himself, and comments on his roles in westerns.

This movie is very funny! if you enjoy the like of Will Ferrell and Vince Vaughn, then this movie is made for YOU!!
Since I'm not only a fraternity man, but I help start the chapter at my school, I totally relate to humor in this film. We never did anything as extreme as what is presented in the film, but that's what Hollywood does. They take things that are kinda interesting, beef them up, and entertain you for an hour and a half.
Will Ferrell is great, Vince Vaughn is hilarious, and Luke Wilson's subtle wit shines.
This is a must have for any movie collection!!!
I had heard that this movie was funny from several friends and also read some reviews about how hilarious this movie is. While there were several hilarious scenes -- Will Ferrell streaking through the streets of town to name one -- the overall laughs were not as many and somewhat trite. Of the three, Ferrell was the funniest followed by Vaughn. I found Luke Wilson's character rather boring and the plot with Ellen Pompeo was all to predictable. If you're looking for light, occassionally funny fare, you could do worse. However, I thought "Wedding Crasher's" and "Talladega Nights" were far funnier movies.
There's not much else to say. I bought this as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. The quality is beautiful. (And it's a great movie).
This is one of my favorite movies of all time.. First of all, it's very well thought out in regards to the relationships between the characters (Mitch and Nicole, Mitch and Darcie, Bernard and Lara). The most overlooked, but important detail is the connection between Mitch (Luke Wilson), Bernard (Vince Vaughn) and Frank (Will Ferrell) and Dean Pritchard (Jeremy Piven). If the four hadn't had a history going back to their school days, Dean Pritchard's relentless fight to end the fraternity would be lost in the mix.

Basically, the story revolves around three men who appear to be lost in their post-college years and decide to form a fraternity in the midst of Mitch's failed marriage and Frank's inevitability to grow into married life.. Living in a campus house and overcoming glitches within the system, the fraternity becomes the most popular group on campus to hang out with despite their unusual and questionable personalities. As the film unravels, the fraternity is forced to face real life challenges that test their friendship, loyalty, teamwork, and heart..
The chemistry between Will Ferrell, Vince Vaughn and Luke Wilson is fantastic and demonstrates the true bonds of friendship.. The casting in this movie was brilliant and made it that much more hilarious. It includes some of the best one-liners you'll hear in the bizz.. It ranks alongside the American Pie films and is a modern day 'Animal House', an absolute must for any college student.
The only problem I have with this movie is its length. Some of the deleted scenes were not only hilarious, but essential to the plot and should've been used in the final cut. However, that's a minor detail in the final outcome.

In addition, if you're a fan of Whitesnake or Kansas, this movie has the music you're looking for.

Three men relive their carefree college years by killing off as many brain cells as possible in this over-the-top comedy. Mitch (Luke Wilson) returns home from a less-than-pleasant business trip one evening to discover his wife Heidi (Juliette Lewis) involved in a m nage trois with two blindfolded strangers. Feeling less than welcome at home after this Mitch rents a house near the campus of a nearby college; two of Mitch's old college buddies Beanie (Vince Vaughn) and Frank (Will Ferrell) stop by to cheer him up. They soon become regular guests at Mitch's place despite the fact that Frank only recently wed Marissa (Perrey Reeves) while Beanie and his wife Lara (Leah Remini) are busy with two kids. Beanie decides to throw a housewarming party for Mitch and since Beanie sells audio equipment for a living he's able to trick out the big bash with a massive PA system and an appearance by Snoop Dogg. This movie has great graphics, great actors/actresses (Hopkins, Jolie, etc), great writers (Writer of the comic, Sandman).... but it doesn't work. It is like mixing pizza and ice cream together because they are your favorite foods. Unfortunately.... Beowulf is a dog. Avoid this movie unless you are renting.
This re-telling of the great tale of Beowulf is an utter failure in every way. The animation is dank, dark, dull. The characters look more like uncomfortable robots than imitations of living creatures. The basic story is trashed and Grendel's mother (the animated Jolie) is ridiculous. Read the epic itself* or "Grendel" by John Gardner. Or see the movie "Beowulf and Grendel", but skip this one.

*There is a decent poetic translation by Seamus Heaney... but read a prose translation if you have to!
Beowulf is a great movie, I think it's the future of animation, when I saw this on the big screen I was blown away with this movie, great scenes and from time to time you forgot you were watching an animated movie.

Using the same technique as in "The Polar Express" but better, director Robert Zemeckis capture the live performance of actors like Ray Winstone, Anthony Hopkins, Robin Wright Penn and Angelina Jolie among others. On the movie "Polar Express" it was a bummer seeing Tom Hanks on almost every scene, here we enjoy a really good movie done in a proper way.

The script is good, but the visuals is what captures you from the start.

However my complain is on the extras, there are a lot of featurettes, some are very interesting, even if they are really short. The problem is a movie like this deserves commentary from the director which is nowhere to be found. Also there is little input on how Angelina Jolie delivered such a powerful character as Grendel's mother.

There are deleted scenes, but they are more like incomplete scenes with no texture. I think it was kinda rip off.

This DVD claims it has more intense scenes not seen in theaters, but the scenes are inserted on the full movie, there is no option to see the theatrical release and the director's cut, you only guess there are more scenes on there but you aren't really not sure because there are no commentaries.

Buy it for the movie itself, still delivers !

A pretty good high adventure flick. Not too complicated a plot, and of course, you have to suspend disbelief with some of it, but the action moves right along, and the acting is pretty well done. It has shades of "Romancing the Stone" or any of the Indiana Jones movies. Some of the scenery is quite impressive, and I particularly like the Art Deco feel they put to the whole production. I'd watch it again.
This disk did not play in my 360 player. The replacement that was sent also was not read. Are there others that do not work in thr 360 player? Really disappointed because i would have enjoyed this film in HD.
I tried this HD DVD in 2 different 360 players as well as the replacement Amazon sent, both did not work in either 360 player. Avoid this one if you have the 360 player.

"We Were Soldiers" is an exceptional war film. It may be the best war film I've seen apart from the Civil War masterpiece "Glory." The battle scenes are intense and brutal to watch. The naphalm scene is especially horrific though I assume very realistic. Mel Gibson does a fine job as Col. Moore and Sam Elliot is superb as a tough seargent. The scenes of families at home and the arrival of messages telling of the death of loved ones were well used to illustrate the wider impact of war. In fact, it was the combination of war scenes and more personal scenes which put it over "Saving Private Ryan" (if only barely) in my mind. Parents should be advised that this is not a film for children. There is a considerable amount of violence and some pretty harsh language as well (I know that the cursing is realistic but I felt it personally detracted from both this and "Saving Private Ryan"). Anyway, I would recommend this film though I advise it is graphic.
On a side note, the film only covers part of the battle in the Ia Drang Valley. The film was also judged to be mostly historically accurate by a commentator on a History Channel "History vs. Hollywood" show though there were inaccuracies such as the final charge.
It was even better in HD. The HD experience is like being at the theater. The video and sound were great and of course the movie is one of the rare pieces out of Hollywood worth watching in the first place.
Sam Eliot steals this movie. Mel Gibson does a fine job, but his character is supported by his Master Sergeant, a dour, laconic guy played to a T by Eliot. The best line in the movie: "Sir, Custer was a pussy -- you ain't one." belongs to Eliot. There are lots of reasons to watch this movie -- I just felt other reviewers weren't giving Eliot his due.
Simply a very good war movie. A very realistic movie about the Vietnam war. You have to see it. The hd qaulity is altso good on this one.

I am a big fan of B-movies and this collection has some of the most notorious, and many, many other fun discoveries! I've had so much fun popping them in randomly after work, cracking a beer and having a bunch of laughs and adventures. The picture and sound are the exact same quality as you would get if you bought these films individually, so the value you get here is phenomenal. These are not Sci-fi classics on the order of "The Day the Earth Stood Still," my friends, these are classics of an entirely different order.
Not a lot here, folks. Some are okay, some are just bad. Real Film Buffs (tm) might get a kick out of seeing one-time big stars such as Claude Rains and Basil Rathbone at the nadirs of their respective careers; but really it's just a bore. At the other end of the career arc are folk such as Peter Lupus and Peter Graves, both of Mission Impossible. Only die-hard sci fans should even consider this collection, and even they ought to look for it on sale. Caution: no close captioning (apparently missing from the entire "50 Movie Pack" series).
Picture Quality is worst.
Most is bad, old, and infantile Movies, created with minimal budjet.
These movies are so very bad. Turn off the volume and make up your own dialogue - it'll probably be better than what's on.
With all the movies in their catalogue one has to wonder why Mill Creek couldn't have compiled a better sci-fi collection than this. Several titles do not make the grade as 'sci-fi', especially the Italian sword and sandal Hercules fantasies. Looking at the 'Nightmare Worlds' collection the opportunity existed to put together a pretty good set of genuine sci-fi flicks ranging from the silent era up to the 1960s when things began to change. Early "so bad it's good" B-grade sci-fi can be loads of fun. Unfortunately, a lot of what is here is just plain bad. At this price still worth having, but could have been much better.

(Really fun game - the five year old can play it easily)

『We've been playing this game as a family with my five year old niece since she was only *four* years old.

She can play her own hand, and often she wins against the grown-ups! (We don't let her win. There's no point.)

She does need a little help in adding her cards to discard them, and we play that it's five queens to win, no matter what (even if you have the required 50 points, you still need the right number of queens), but otherwise she totally manages her own game.

Her little sister (two and a half years) can totally play a game too... if she has a grown-up (or sometimes her big sister) to help her put distinguish the various power cards. I have no doubt that she, too, will be managing her own hand when she's four... or even three, she's catching up fast.

We've also played this game with just adults a few times, it's really pretty fun and very fast.』

『We love this game! My daughter started playing it when she was 3. The only part she couldn't do was the adding to discard, but that part is not as important to the game and we can help her. SO much fun!!!! We made up our own variation called SUPER SLEEPING QUEENS, where we just keep playing the game all the way until all the queens are picked up and then we have 2 winners, most queens and most points.
It is so fun and creative! I love the little rules like you can't have the cat and the dog queen and also everyone in my house LOVES the rose queen because you get to pick another queen. Also the joker is fun because someone randomly gets to get a card. Lots of fun, very well-thought out, cant' believe it was made up by a little girl!!!!』

(The perfect baby doll!)

『I found one of these for a friend on clearance in a store for only about $[...]. I had no idea at the time what a great price this was. A few months later my friend related that her daughter loved her doll and I started looking for two for my twins. Finally, I forked over the full price for the girls' Christmas gifts at 14 months. The girls and I love these dolls. They are simple but very well made and soft. The bodies are chunky and adorable, with the cutest belly buttons. We haven't lost the pacies yet and the girls love them since they also have pacifiers. Our one problem is that the loose stiches holding the headbands on came off. Now the girls can't manage to put them on and that frustrates them. I wish that the accessories were less expensive, but I do love the dolls!!!』

『I ordered this little doll for my 2 year old daughter for Christmas.

I had searched for a long time for a soft baby doll made entirely out of cloth that was well made. Plastic ones are great, but they tend to be cold and hard when a child wants to sleep with them because they aren't comfortable to snuggle. Most rag dolls are not babies, but rather older girls (i.e, Madeline, Raggedy Ann) and often cheaply made with painted faces. This doll fit the bill.

The Baby Stella doll is soft and light without being flimsy. She is easy for a small person to carry and cuddle. She is well made and has the cutest little belly button!! I love the magnet feature in her mouth so that you can stick the pacifier on there, but truthfully, that is just icing on the cake and can easily get lost. I think that the clothing and accessories marketed for this doll are overpriced, but her clothes are well made and easy for little hands to dress and undress. My daughter loves this doll and totes her everywhere. I have seen comparable dolls at high end children's retailers costing much more with cloth faces that were rough and easily soiled. She can be thoroughly spot cleaned without the telltale water marks that cloth dolls tend to get when washed.

I don't think you will be disappointed if Stella comes to live with you!!』

I ordered this husky for my son and was very pleased with the timeliness of delivery and excellent condition of the webkinz. Tag for webkinz was included and packaged fantasticly. Thank you.
I really can't say enough about the Webkinz. Both of kids (boy 5&girl 10) really enjoy playing with their animals. They really are a great gift and I've seen in both kids more repsonsibility with taking care of the stuffed animals and keeping up with everything that goes with them. They really are happy with the Webkins line and so am I.
First of all, the husky is very cute, and my five year old boy is in love with it, and the idea of selling cute stuffed animals that have a second life in a web world for kids is brilliant. But, know what you are getting into when you by one of these.

First, you'll of course have to get the pet "adopted" on the Webkinz web site. Then, you'll have to study the online user manual for the Webkinz web site because unless your child has a certain reading ability, maybe fourth grade, they won't be able to read it all by themselves.

Then of course, you'll have to teach your child what you learned. You might be with your child for a few hours at this site while you both learn your way around. With a five year old it is going to take a while. Of course, you may view it as a bonding experience, so it's not all bad, but there is a time commitment you make when you get one of these.

Then, you'll have to cope with the technical glitches at the Webkinz web site. My ordeal was in getting my son's Webkinz husky to send messages and gifts to another Webkinz husky owned by my son's best friend of the same age. The site has a "post office" where you can send letters and "gifts" to a friend on your "friend list", but they don't tell you on the site how to get a friend on the friend list, so I had to do research out on the Internet to see how this is done.

Once we had mastered that, we found that the mailbox doesn't update with new messages unless you log out of the Webkinz site and log back in again.

Some of the navigation controls on the Webkinz site are very narrow and hard for very young children to master because they require a lot of mouse precision. You may end up sitting with your child at the computer getting them through some of the things they want to do.

Finally, your pet's life is one year on the site unless you buy more Webkinz toys or buy a renewal of your pet at the end of one year. They want to hook you into spending more money. I'm glad these cute little things don't cost too much.

So, now you have an idea of what you are committing to when you buy one of these toys. Good luck!
My son continues to expand his cache of webkinz with this little animal. He enjoys the website and I like the games he plays to earn wcash. The toy arrived sooner than promised and in excellent condition.
webkinz is awesome and i like it better than club penguin and i played that all the time for months. i like webkinz better because it has alot more stuff to do, plus you get to see many kinds of animals. you get to name your pet and my husky is named spike. i also got a black lab and named him mike. many of my friends are playing webkinz now and we interact online by giving each other presents and sending letters. i have never had a bad experience on webkinz and i have just turned 7. i like playing polar plunge the best. my parents kinda like it too--it sure keeps me busy and happy. i sleep with my webkinz and want a real husky when i grow up.

Our child loves the " cute " mouse ... plus being able to play on the computer is a plus . It's a safe website , and they do offer some learning games and I think that is great .
My 7-year-old daughter has many Webkinz stuffed animals, but this may be her favorite. She is very active in her online Webkinz account, and she is very happy to have this addition to her collection. I can't say it's extremely educational, but it makes her happy.

The Webkinz raccoon is Super Soft and Cuddly. Great material/quality. Get your hands on this Rascally little guy, before his price sky rockets, just like many other RETIRED Webkinz. He was a wonderful addition to my ever-growing collection.
My daughter is a webkinz collector and she absolutely adores this one..just like the picture but even cuter in real life. It's touchably soft..My daughter sleeps with this one every night because of it's softness.
I had never heard of webkinz till late '07.We moved just before the start of the 07-08 school year and several of the kids there had webkinz.So of course my kids had to have one too.Well, they are really cool and a great learning tool.They come with a secret code and you register it online at webkinz world.You get to name it and print an adoption certificate.Online they do things to collect "kinzcash" they get to purchase things for their pet's room.They also have to feed it.If they dont it gets sick and it has to see the doctor.I just think they r great.It helps the kids understand there are needs that come before what they want.
And this was a fabulous seller too.I'm sometimes leery of ordering from 3rd party sellers but "angieskidzone" is topnotch.
My 7-year-old son has the Husky, the Yellow Lab, the Brown Arabian, and the Raccoon in his Webkinz collection. The raccoon is by far the cutest, and he is also the smartest in the online "school." He named his Risky, and has had way more fun than I ever imagined he would with a stuffed animal. We haven't had any of the problems with the Webkinz website that others have mentioned. In fact, it has worked like a charm and is easy for my 7-year-old to manage with very little assistance. These toys are Champion, the raccoon especially.
This racoon webkinz is the best there is! The racoon is the most unique and it is the cutest and softest as well! If you are webkinz lovers like me you should really get this one because they are cute and fun!! They are also educational, because they have fun thinking games in the arcade. Instead of buying the real board games get webkinz because they have a big variety of educational board games for example- checkers, battleship, air hockey, ect. Well i think you get the point they are extremely fun!!!!!!!!
Theres no pet quite as mischievous as the rascally Raccoon. Turn on the Monkey and Monkey Show. While Raccoons love to play a few pranks, theyre also really awesome friends. Youll always have loads of fun with this joker around. It is special with its curbside cuisine fridge and special food is Rascals Ratatouille

Although lately we have found that many of our Webkinz animals come with small holes in the seams (presumably due to missed edges due to fast sewing) they are easy to fix. Webkinz is a very fun program, and they often update features to keep it interesting. Pricey, but addictive fun for kids AND grown ups.
My 10 year old daughter loves it. All her friends in school have webkinz toys and they play interactive.

I guess I'm a big kid. It's something my 6 year old daughter and I can do together (it's OUR thing!)
My neice loves to use the computer with the features this toy provides. She also likes the design of this stuffed animal. I think it's great that this toy inspires kids to get comfortable using the computer, which is an obviously important skill they will use their whole life. The kids get excited creating environments for the toys online and have fun choosing items that match the animal. She's using a snowflake theme for this one's online "room".
The only complaint she has is that sometimes it takes a while to get on the site but that could be for a variety of reasons. Overall she is very happy with the Webkinz products.
I think that this little guy is the best Webzinz yet-I have ordered it for my grand daughter who lives in England-they don't have them there-but having a hard time giving the penguin up. He is so cute and cuddly and he sits on my computer desk-
Don't know about educational value but enjoyment value is off the charts.

It's a shame that this Webby is being sold for nearly 3 times it's original price, and on Amazon, of all places. This I'd expect on eBay, but not here. Shame on you!
I have been waiting for the Whimsy Dragon to come out since I first heard about it. Now I have it and it is one of my favorite Webkinz that I own.

However, there were 3 things about the Whimsy Dragon that made me disappointed:

1: It's smaller than it looks.

2: When you register it on to your account and you go to your room, when it walks around, you will notice it doesn't fly! It just walks. I kept thinking that it would fly around your room, but it doesn't.

3: The price. It is NOT worth $30. I bought mine for $15. Save your money, and buy it somewhere else.

I still think the Whimsy Dragon is a cool Webkinz!

I'm not too familiar with these so I have to only tell what I know. This was a gift to a friend's daughter who explained to me how they work. You get the animal, it is a cute stuffed animal, they enter this code in the computer and like every other stuffed animal it ends up on the bed or shelf and then they play and learn a lot of things on this "Webkinz" site that is educational.
This is a real Webkinz, the image has been copied nicely. I bought it as an addition to my collection, I am putting together a set of the originals as I find them. I am still looking for those which do not have the Magic "W". I think the Webkinz could be used as a reward to children for other accomplishments that have been well done. It lacks healthly activities (children need to move and play) and there is no sunshine in a computor room. My true liking of plush pets is Russ Shining Stars, much better made and the price remains reasonable.
I bought this Webkin horse for my 7 year old daughter but wasn't sure if she would play much with it. I have been shocked at the number of hours she has spent on the computer improving her Webkin world! I also bought another Webkin for my 9 year old daughter and both girls get on the computers (we have two) and interact with eachother, visit their online rooms, etc. I bought much more expensive items for both of the girls for Christmas, but I would say that this one has, by far, gotten the most playtime. It's a great value!
Great Webkinz for a great price. However, the shipping was almost as much as the toy (which is not so good).

Oh well, my choice to pay the shipping. It came well packaged and relatively promptly.
So I am pleased.

I bought this for my 9 year old. I did not know where you could buy them.. Surprise surprise you can buy them at Target.. Now I will Know for next time. She had a heart attack when she saw it at X-mas and had to register it immediately.

My daughter loved this duck and we ordered it and it came quickly and in excellent condition with the webkinz tag. She was thrilled.
I bought this for my 3 and 6 year old girls. They love it! Its cute and very soft! I haven't allowed them to register them online yet. I know that is the appeal to these soft animals but my girls still enjoy them. To them webkinz is just another cute, soft stuffed animal that they play "babies" with. They do love them!
I just got started collecting webkinz after logging on and playing games, it's really addicting. There was this funny lady that did a puppet show on youtub with this duck and she's hilarious. She named hers April and her least favorite day is Fry-day....hahahaha. I just ordered this cute little duck and I can't wait to get it myself!
This product was bought for my 14 yr old daughter as an Easter gift. After seeing that her sister had a bunch and playing on her sisters webkinz account, she just had to have one too. She enjoys playing with it online at [...]. For the most part, the acutal Duck just sits on her bed unless her younger siblings get a hold of it - which is quite often.

It's super soft and plushy. Great to cuddle with or stuff in a backpack on the way out the door.

Given the chance, I would buy this product again. I'd also recommend it to others. Infact, I've also purchased other products within the webkinz line and have not had any issues with any of them.

We gave my granddaughter this little Lab for her birthday. She loves stuffies and it was a great addition to her collection. The dog is soft and cuddly and really has a cute expression and drawing eyes.
We went on the internet and she adopted her (she calls her Lisa) and is truly enjoying all the activities on the site. She already made the dog a bed using the instructions given there. With the interaction on the net she is truly enjoying this new friend. I glad we purchased it for her and I believe she will have hours of love and fun with this one. Nice item.
webkinz are good and educational toys, it came fast and the little girl loved it. they also make them look like real anaimals so the kids enjoy playing with the plushy and online games.
Those who have been to the Webkinz site know that this Yellow Lab is retired. Those who don't know exactly what a webkinz is.... it's an educational website by Ganz for children (and even some adults) to play and interact with your little pet. The pet comes with a tag that allows you access to the website. You get to play educational games and earn "kinzcash" which allows you to purchase items to decorate a room for your little pet and food to feed it. All in all this webkinz is very durable and ultra plush.
This is a great toy. My whole family has enjoyed playing with Webkinz together. It is a safely monitored site. I am extrememly impressed with Ganz and the Webkinz products and community.
What a great idea. Buy Webkinzs animals and the kids love to go on their site with a code that is on the animal. They can also interact on the site with their actual friends. Hours of healthy computer fun and they can learn a lot. Word games, numbers, checkers, etc. The toy is adorable although they are a little pricy. It's the toy animal of 2008. This one is in high demand!

This is a horrible toy. My two year old daughter got it as a birthday gift from her godfather, who bought it because of the fantastic reviews. It arrived broken -- one of the paw pad sensors doesn't work unless you squeeze it just right, with two fingers. In the past Fisher Price has given me fantastic service, so I'm sure they'll take care of that problem when I get around to calling.

The really terrible thing about this puppy is that when you hit a sensor, the toy stops whatever it was doing and starts a new thing. The sensors are super sensitive, and will go off if you just brush up against the toy. My daughter wants to hear the songs all the way through, and sing along, but of course she wants to be able to hold or touch the puppy at the same time. So the song stops, then it takes like five tries to cycle around to the song she wants, then she hugs the puppy and the song stops again. After about ten minutes of this she was in tears. I've never see my little girl so distraught -- she's not a kid who gets discouraged or cries much, but she just collapsed into my arms in tears of frustration. I felt awful for her.

Other things I don't like about it:
1. The "this little piggy" chant is turned into "this little puppy," so now my daughter has started saying that, and I prefer the classic rhyme.
2. There's a whole part that says "blue ear," "yellow foot," "green hand," when you hit those body parts. But because it cuts off when you hit the sensors, it can sound like "blue -- foot," when the foot is actually yellow. My daughter repeated "blue foot," and I had to correct her.
3. It says "I love you". I generally don't like inanimate objects saying they love my child.

If Fisher Price just made the slight change of having this puppy complete what he's doing before starting the next activity, we'd probably love it!
This is an incredibly cute toy. My 2 yr old got it as a present at 18 months and thinks it's very cute, but it doesn't hold his interest very long. My major beef with it's too easy to press a body part by hugging it or moving it around. For toddlers who like to touch and move things and not just sit, watch, and listen until a song is over, it's a problem. You press its paw, it sings, and then when your toddler ends up hugging it, or wanting to play with it in different ways, he activates other body parts
